With a Sears think[box] AI Microgrant, we built a desk voice assistant that answers questions, sets reminders and handles scheduling.
I designed the 3D-printed enclosure, picked the electronics and assembled them around a Raspberry Pi 5 with a mic, a speaker and a display, and wrote the Python that calls cloud LLMs. The finished unit replies in about five seconds.
